₹2,000/Sq Ft Doesn’t Always Mean ₹2,000/Sq Ft
Two contractors can quote similar rates per square foot and still offer substantially different scopes.
That is why the most important question is not:
“What is your rate?”
It is:
“What exactly does that rate include?”
Start with the Area Definition
Ask what area is being multiplied by the quoted rate.
Is it built-up area? How are balconies, staircases, parking areas, terraces or other spaces treated?
Get the calculation method in writing.
Examine Structural Specifications
A price without specifications is difficult to compare.
Review the agreed structural design process and specifications for concrete, reinforcement, masonry and other major components.
Look at Allowances
Some packages include allowances for items such as tiles, sanitary fixtures or electrical products.
If your selection exceeds the allowance, the difference may become an additional cost.
